Train the Trainer qualifications

Overview:

At Phoenix we offer a 'train the trainer' qualification which is ideal for first-time trainers who need to understand the basics of training skills and practice and for those looking to refine their techniques. The qualifications are registered with the Charted Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH) delivering training that is not publicly funded. 

What the qualification offers:

This is an essential qualification for anyone wishing to become a CIEH registered trainer or to update and refresh their training skills and practice. If you are looking to advance your career in training or tap into a new area then this course is the perfect pathway.   

We encourage a flexible approach in the way we deliver this qualification and appreiate each learner's needs and styles are different. Throughout the course we cover the initial assessment, planning and preparation, training delivery, assessment and then evaluation.

1. Understand your own role and responsibilities in relation to training                                                                                         
2. Understand appropriate training and learning approaches in a specialist area
3. Demonstrate your session planning skills 
4. Understand how to deliver inclusive sessions that motivate learners
5. Understand the use of different assessment methods and the need for record keeping

• 3 Day course
• Full time or part time
• Delivered in Newcastle office or in an appropriate premises you have access to
•  Progression to level 3 CIEH award
• opportunity of Continuing development to qualifies teachers/educators

Our train the trainer course is a 3 day programme which is delivered by qualified and experienced  trainers through micro- teaching sessions and evaluated with a final assignment. We suggest progression to a CIEH level 3 award in preparing o teach in the lifelong learning sector (PTLLS). We offer the course on a full-time or part-time basis dependant upon your needs and training can take place in our Newcastle office or if you have the appropriate premises we can bring the teaching to you.
